Alps Summit to Sea

Service Description

Join us for an epic fastback from Hakuba Village, to the summit of Mt. Shirouma and down to the Sea of Japan along the legendary "Tsugami Shindo" route in a speedy two days of trail time! This trail meant to connect the ocean with the alps was painstakingly constructed over 10 years by a local mountaineering club, and finalized in 1971. We start out at 1,230 meters before climbing to a high point of 2,932m, camp at 2,150m on day one, then descend all the way to 0m by the end of day two. Trail time will be a combined 22 hours give or take, and we'll cover a total of 44 kilometers on this advanced fastpacking tour.
