Your trip is our passion.

We can work directly with you to guide you to a destination that meets your needs and expectations. Contact us today to get started!

Maybe one of our model trail run tours has gotten your attention, but you're not a runner and are instead interested in taking more time and doing a traditional overnight hike on the described route. Or maybe you are an accomplished trail runner who would be more into doing a leisurely four-day hike as a tougher two-day fastpacking adventure.

Let's make it happen.

Perhaps you are keen on every detail of a particular sample itinerary, but are not a fan of onsen (natural hot springs) and would rather cut that from the itinerary, or replace it with something else such as a museum or a few extra hours of sightseeing.

No problem.

Maybe you have a certain number of days and would like to mix and match activities pulled from several of our suggested destinations, or would like to start completely from scratch and work with us to plan a fully-custom, one-of-a-kind tour.

We can do that.

As a small company one of the best things we can offer you is ultimate flexibility and personalized service. Feel free to inquire directly about altering any of our example plans or coming up with something entirely new just for you, and we will get back to you promptly with an itinerary and price quote. If it is something we are not able to accommodate for whatever reason, we will of course let you know.

NEW TOUR 2/20 - 2/28, 2023!

Join us in early 2023 for an unforgettable 9 days / 8 nights of traveling and snowshoeing across the snow-covered landscapes of Japanese snow country. This exciting mid-winter journey through the heart of the country offers excellent opportunities to experience the unique scenery, hospitality, culture and traditions of central Japan's "yukiguni" - some of the most heavily-snowed locations on the planet.

As travelers, outdoor lovers and long-term residents of Japan, we have spent the better part of our lives exploring this beautiful country of contrasts, from city-to-city and coast-to-coast. Our countless hours of hiking and biking through Japan's stunning mountains and charming countryside have provided us with the intimate first-hand knowledge and experience necessary to lead you on one-of-a-kind original tours available nowhere else, while also ensuring your complete safety and satisfaction.

Our three-man team believes that traveling in smaller, more intimate groups is the best way to maximize each and every aspect of the guest's experience: which is why we guide with a maximum 5 to 1 guest to guide ratio. We aim to provide each of our clients with the absolute highest level of service and personal.

Our complete fluency in the Japanese language gained over decades of living and working here has given us rare perspectives and insights into daily life, customs and culture. We leverage all that we have learned to plan active hiking, biking, cultural and seasonal adventure tours in our favorite areas throughout Japan, and do all we can to ensure your trip is unique, personal, meaningful and unforgettable.

Our goal is to take you to places not found in guidebooks and to those that you may never have discovered on your own, since it is those hidden destinations deep in the geographical and cultural heart of the country that will give you the maximum opportunities to engage, interact and immerse yourself into the real Japan.

"Just back from a ten day tour of Hokkaido with Justin and Paul, and what a holiday! We hiked up three amazing mountains, stayed in some varied and interesting accommodations, bathed in onsens, sampled some fantastic local cuisine in numerous restaurants and hotels, saw deer, foxes, squirrels, walked around five lakes, cruised up a mountain in a cable car, sang Queen songs at karaoke, visited a cat cafe, checked out a few beautiful waterfalls, cruised in a boat looking for wild bears, and shared a few beers and many laughs with the lads. Such a great adventure that my friend Yvonne and I were sad to leave. The lads were fantastic hosts with great local knowledge. Thanks for a memorable holiday! I would recommend the lads to anyone wanting a break from it all!"
